The California “Thank You Ocean” campaign is a joint project of the State of California Resources Agency and NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. The goal of the campaign is to show Californians how the ocean touches their lives every day, as well as providing ways to take action.

The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is a proud partner in the award-winning campaign, found at www.thankyouocean.org. There, visitors can download and listen to a series of podcasts made possible by the Earnest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund. Posted every two weeks, the “Thank You Ocean” podcasts feature interviews with ocean experts discussing topics such as Marine Protected Areas, ocean research and legislation, and tips for everyone on how they can give thanks to the ocean by protecting, promoting, and preserving our underwater treasures.
