National Marine Sanctuary Foundation Releases Annual Report and Announces Appointment of New Trustees
December 17, 2007Washington, DC — The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation has released its 2007 annual report of activities, entitled “Making a Difference Together.” The report features the diversity of ocean conservation activities and also profiles the Foundation’s leadership, including new members of its Board of Trustees, Advisory Committee, and Trustees Emeriti.
2007 Ernest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund Recipients
June 11, 2007The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation announced the award of 13 grants ranging from $14,500 - $25,000 for projects from the Ernest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund. These projects are dedicated to increasing public awareness of issues related to our ocean,including marine debris, human interaction with marine mammals, pollution and the connection between the ocean and human health.
Capitol Hill Ocean Week 2007
June 7, 2007Capitol Hill Ocean Week 2007 brought together a wide-range of stakeholders to discuss current ocean and coastal issues. Panel speakers included Members of Congress, as well as representatives of federal and state governments, industry, academia, and nonprofit organizations.
