NMSF Announced White Water to Blue Water Grant Recipients
August 1, 2006Washington, DC – The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation (NMSF) announced the award of White Water to Blue Water (WW2BW) Partnership Initiative grants designed to foster innovative partnerships to encourage cooperation, build sustainable development processes and improve environmental impacts in the Gulf of Mexico and The Wider Caribbean. National Marine Sanctuary Foundation Announces Fundraising Initiative for New Visitor Center in Key West
December 2, 2003Silver Spring, MD - The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation today announced a $1.5-million fundraising campaign to create and install dynamic and interactive exhibits that interpret the Florida Keys ecosystem as part of a planned world-class visitor center in Key West. Construction on the interagency facility, the highlight of the Dr. Nancy Foster Florida Keys Environmental Center, is due to begin in early 2004, and the Center is due to open in Spring of 2005.

The Award recognizes their long-term contributions to ocean protection and preservation, specifically for their introduction of the Oceans Act of 2000 in their respective chambers of Congress.
